Program Description
Event Details
Join us for our Homeschool Bird Extravaganza event on May 6th from 1-3 pm on the Lower Level of the New Lexington location!
This program is open to all area homeschoolers who are interested in birds and bird conservation. We will have community partners on hand to share information about their organizations and how they are helping save Ohio's birds. Homeschoolers will be given a Bird Passport to get stamp at each table and activity. A winning passport will be randomly drawn from completed passports and the winning homeschooler will receive a Kindle Fire 7.
We will update as community partners confirm reservations. Additional information will be provided closer to the event. Registration is required.
Community Partners:
- The Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative is a collaboration of non-profit groups, businesses, state and federal government agencies, and citizens that are participating in or are interested in bird conservation for the state of Ohio. We have come together for one main purpose – to ensure the conservation and effective management of birds in Ohio.
- The American Bird Conservancy takes action to conserve the habitats and birds that depend on each other for survival. We restore habitat, make spaces safer for birds, and work to pass laws with birds in mind.
