Join us on December 4th for our first Famous Failures Fair.  Homeschool students will select and present on a famous failure who used a positive growth mindset to find success after experiencing failure.  Students will also recreate one of their chosen individual’s failures.

 

We will be hosting a series of monthly study hall session to help students research & prepare their presentations and replicas.

Study Hall Sessions

  • September 25th | Introduction to Research
    • Join us from 1-2 pm for an Introduction to Research.  We will spend 30 minutes reviewing how to research topics in the library, how to determine the reliability of sources, and how to track resource data.  Once we cover a few research basics, students will have the opportunity to use the final 30 minutes to begin their research on their famous failure. 
  • October 23rd | Introduction to Growth Mindset & Design
    • Join us from 1-2 pm for an Introduction to Growth Mindset & Design.  We will spend 30 minutes reviewing growth mindset principles, exploring how a growth mindset improves success rates, and learning some design tips.  Once we cover a few growth mindset & design topics, students will have the opportunity to use the final 30 minutes to work on their replicas.
  • November 20th | Introduction to Presentation
    • Join us from 1-2 pm for an Introduction to Presentations.  We will spend 30 minutes reviewing presentation techniques & how to incorporate your replica into your presentation.  Once we cover presentation topics, students will have the opportunity to use the final 30 minutes to put the finishing touches on their presentations & replicas and/or practice giving their full presentation.

 

Registration is required for the December 4th program via our online calendar system.  Participation in the study halls is optional; however, registration via email to cargo@pcdl.org is required.
