Program Description

Event Details

Join us on September 4th at 1 pm in the Meeting Room of our New Lexington location for our first Homeschool Program of the 2024-2025 School Year!

Ohio State - Perry County Extension Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent Ted Wiseman will be presenting a Native Pollinator Program where participants will discover the vital role of pollinators in our ecosystem! While honeybees are very important, other Ohio pollinators also play crucial roles in our natural world. Native pollinators will be discussed along with plants that attract pollinators.  Perry County District Library Youth Services staff will also have a selection of books on native pollinators and plants available for our homeschool families to check out to further their study of this important topic.

All area homeschoolers (preschool through 12th grade) are welcome.  As this topic may be more advanced than our younger students are ready for, native pollinator/plant coloring sheets and activity pages will be available for younger students to enjoy during the homeschool program.

Registration is required.  Please email questions to cargo@pcdl.org.

We look forward to seeing you on September 4th!
